On December 1, 2017, Flynn originally pleaded guilty for making "false, fictitious and fraudulent statements" to the FBI pertaining to his communication with the Russian ambassador to the U.S, Sergey Kislyak. Last week, documents were unsealed that showed FBI agents discussing whether the goal of interviewing Flynn in 2017 was “to get him to lie, so we can prosecute him or get him fired.” The DOJ announced on May 7th that the case against Flynn was to be dropped “after a considered review of all the facts and circumstances of this case, including newly discovered and disclosed information.” See the source below for more details: https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/legal-issues/justice-dept-moves-to-void-michael-flynns-conviction-in-muellers-russia-probe/2020/05/07/9bd7885e-679d-11ea-b313-df458622c2cc_story.html Comments are closed.
